Job Description

The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, and Surgery, while ensuring patient safety protocols. This role functions as the first point of contact with patients to fulfill their imaging needs successfully.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional image by adhering to the established dress code.
• Maximize job potential by attending all mandatory education and in-service programs.
• Contribute to departmental time management by punctuality.
• Comply with all hospital confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
• Accurately maintain Medical Imaging patient medical records.
• Perform office-related duties in the absence of office staff.
• Identify patients and review requisitions for consistency.
• Assess patient condition and ensure safety during imaging procedures.
• Ensure technical accuracy of examinations and communicate pertinent data.
• Document patient information accurately using computer systems.
• Organize patient care and prioritize critical needs.
• Participate in the training and orientation of new employees.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of radiology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid Illinois Radiology license.
• CPR/AED and CT certifications are welcomed but not required.
