Surgical Services RN - OR Circulating

This is a 13-week contract position, working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday with rotating days off.

Job Description

The Surgical Services RN will provide comprehensive care in a surgical services unit, excluding cardiovascular, neurosurgery, and orthopedic surgery. This position requires flexibility to work in various surgical lines while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room, ensuring a safe and effective surgical environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide quality care to patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and surgical progress, making necessary adjustments to care as required.
• Maintain equipment and surgical supplies, ensuring all items are sterile and available.
• Provide patient education and support before and after surgery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an OR circulating RN.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• First-time travelers will be considered with appropriate experience.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
