Physical Therapist - Varied Shift

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. Responsibilities include conducting evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the order of a physician or other healthcare providers while adhering to all necessary precautions and protocols. The therapist will evaluate and treat patients, establish therapeutic plans of care, and set long and short-term goals to maximize patients' functional abilities and independence.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and treatments based on department protocols.
• Establish and implement therapeutic plans of care, setting appropriate goals.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to optimize care outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Maine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in high-stress situations.
• The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
