Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the guidance of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. Utilizing their specific modality, the CT Technologist creates diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive experience for their patients. They actively support continuous learning and adaptation as technology advances and perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (stable and intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT-guided procedures. The role also emphasizes the importance of practicing and enforcing radiation safety measures in accordance with state regulations.

Schedule

Friday to Sunday, 8 AM - 8:30 PM with no on-call responsibilities (Three 12-hour shifts).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMT Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Entry-level experience is acceptable; MIT Level may be assigned based on skill set and experience.
