Day shifts, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns in a fast-paced community hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing skills and experience in Labor & Delivery, with a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide support and care during labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal health.
• Assist with all aspects of childbirth, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and childbirth processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards in the maternity unit.
• Participate in teamwork and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery preferred.
• Active Maryland RN license or compact license.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM, STABLE, and CPI.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
