Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

Night shift - 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing critical care respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patients. The therapist will be required to work in the Emergency Department and critical care settings, assisting with various respiratory procedures and managing ventilators for patients in need.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intubation and extubation processes.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results.
• Manage ventilator settings and provide weaning protocols.
• Administer aerosol therapy and medications such as bronchodilators.
• Conduct pulmonary hygiene and chest physiotherapy.
• Respond to emergency situations as a part of the rapid response team.
• Collaborate with nursing staff for patient care planning and execution.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 5 years of experience in adult critical care and emergency medicine.
• Must possess active RRT license valid in Maryland or a Compact state.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
