Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with required weekend shifts and no on-call duty.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care setting, floating between units as needed. This role involves managing patient health and executing care plans, while adhering to established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.
• Coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Conduct assessments and document patient information in the Epic system.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• Active RN license (Compact license preferred).
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
