Registered Nurse - PCU Nights

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a focus on adult and geriatric patients. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and telemetry.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Manage dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response situations.
• Provide care to patients undergoing pre/post operative procedures.
• Document all patient care activities in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
• Valid RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Proficiency in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
