Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required (Fri/Sat).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care for pediatric and adult patients. The role requires floating between the PICU, ED, and Adult critical care, depending on hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood gas analysis and manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen.
• Respond to codes and provide in-house transport for patients.
• Administer medications and perform chest physiotherapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably in PICU/NICU.
• Active NJ License required.
• Certifications: BLS and NBRC required; advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) are highly preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
