This position requires a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 19:00 - 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively in a team nursing model. You will be responsible for interpreting telemetry readings and managing cardiac rhythms to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the telemetry unit, specializing in cardiac patients.
• Independently interpret telemetry strips and provide appropriate clinical interventions for various arrhythmias.
• Assist with the management of dysrhythmias and coordinate care with rapid response/code teams.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:8 with team nursing staffing.
• Implement isolation precautions and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide patient education about cardiac health and wellness.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical unit.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience using Allscripts charting system preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and possible float shifts as needed.
