ICU Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the ICU setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of recent ICU experience, with 18 months of permanent experience prior to travel.
• Current and valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• One recent reference from a manager or director in the specialty is required for submission.
