Registered Nurse - Clinical Hematology

Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description

The Clinical Hematology Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team, specializing in the management of benign hematological disorders such as bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemia, sickle cell disease, and DVTs. This role does not involve malignant hematology or oncology care.

Responsibilities

• Clinic nursing responsibilities including patient assessments and care in the clinic room.
• Perform phlebotomy and assist with bone marrow biopsies.
• Provide central line care and facilitate patient education and phone triage.
• Assist with and support scheduling for patient infusions.
• Involve in case management for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for oncology clinic experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are required.
• Active RN license required (NC or Compact license).
• BCLS certification required; additional certifications such as ONS, BMTCN, or OCN are preferred.
