PM shift, Monday – Thursday, 7am - 6pm on-call included.

Job Description

The CT Technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence while performing various tasks related to imaging and patient care. The role involves ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures, maintaining equipment and room standards, and adhering to all relevant health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures.
• Maintain sterility of instruments and site during procedures.
• Prepare and manage patient requisitions and medical records.
• Communicate with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while respecting privacy.
• Verify patient identification as per policy and observe for changes in condition.
• Ensure the availability of contrast media and maintain inventory levels.
• Participate in daily inventory and notify about expired items.
• Maintain cleanliness of scanning rooms and equipment.
• Assist in triaging and coordinating procedures, especially emergency requests.
• Assess patients for contrast tolerance and screen for allergies.
• Notify the appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.
• Perform QA/QC activities as per standards.
• Handle immediate result cases per established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a recognized institution.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) and Computed Tomography (RT(CT)).
• New Jersey State X-Ray License.
• BLS Certification.
