This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift hours include 10-hour day shifts from 06:50 to 17:30, and evening shifts from 11:00 to 19:30 from Monday to Friday. Call requirements include one weekend rotation every five weeks and one weekday evening call per week.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide surgical care, including circulating and scrubbing for a variety of cases. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assisting in surgical procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring the operating environment is safe and sterile.
• Circulate and scrub during surgeries as applicable.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operations.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes during procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding the surgical process and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with 2 years in the surgical specialty.
• Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, and gynecological procedures is preferred.
• Epic documentation experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
