Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while embracing the organization's core values of safety, teamwork, and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessments and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and prioritize patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with hospital and nursing policies.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
• Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific to certain facilities).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
