Job Description

We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse with specialized experience in ventilator management and Pediatric ICU care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of nursing processes and provide both routine and complex care to pediatric patients. This role involves independent practice while being aware of all relevant clinical aspects, contributing to long-range goals and plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only).
• Active RN License in the state of Texas or compact required.
• Ventilator and Pediatric ICU experience are mandatory.
