Job Description

Physical therapists (PTs) are healthcare professionals responsible for diagnosing and treating individuals across all ages who have medical problems or health-related conditions that restrict their mobility and daily functional activities. PTs assess each patient and create a treatment plan that employs various techniques to enhance movement abilities, alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disabilities. Additionally, PTs devise fitness and wellness programs aimed at preventing mobility loss and promoting healthier, more active lifestyles. Physical therapists work in multiple settings, including hospitals, private practices, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, schools, sports and fitness facilities, work environments, and nursing homes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients' physical conditions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility and functionality.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and alleviate pain.
• Guide patients in fitness and wellness programs focused on enhancing health.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid PT license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of recent hospital experience as a Physical Therapist.
