Nursing Assistant

Job Description

Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. This role embraces the core values of superior quality in patient care, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to safe practices and policies.
• Perform routine patient care and support bedside nursing activities.
• Assist patients with menu selections according to dietary requirements.
• Update and validate patient dietary information in the menu management system.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues effectively to relevant departments.
• Maintain organization and efficiency of the Food & Nutrition office.
• Participate in departmental meetings and in-services.
• Assist trayline, food service aides, or catering as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
• BLS certification required (CIRH ONLY - unless required by state).
• Previous Select experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This is a day shift position, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
