Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse will assist with office and medical procedures, processing patient referrals to other providers, scheduling appointments, and performing other duties as assigned. The role involves rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medical procedures and patient care.
• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Process patient referrals to other providers.
• Schedule appointments and manage office duties.
• Support secretarial and nursing staff under direct supervision.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferably at least one year of experience in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems.
• Strong typing and clerical skills, with a focus on customer service.
