Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) - Contract Position

Schedule

This position involves 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday to Friday, with random days scheduled. There will also be one night of on-call duty per week and one weekend of call per month, rotating holidays included.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a critical role in surgical services that encompass a full spectrum of procedures across various specialties. This role requires strong collaboration skills and an unwavering focus on patient outcomes in both elective and life-saving surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties including Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urology, and OB.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and health protocols during procedures.
• Foster effective communication with surgical teams to enhance patient care.
• Maintain compliance with established protocols and attend regular training sessions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Michigan RN license verification required. Provide documentation from LARA and Nursys.
• A completed skills checklist within one year of application is required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
