Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule

This position requires rotating shifts, primarily nights, with a possibility of day shifts when needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor & Delivery/Maternity. The primary role will be in Labor & Delivery, with responsibilities extending to Maternity when necessary. The unit consists of a 20-bed Obstetrics unit and a 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery and Maternity units.
• Monitor and assess fetal heart tones and labor progress, ensuring safety and comfort for patients.
• Float to Maternity when required and assist with med-surg patients as a safety sitter if not needed in L&D/OB.
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and operate in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Perform duties in the operating room for cesarean sections.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery/Maternity nursing.
• Current certifications in CPR, NRP, and ACLS.
• Competency in interpreting fetal monitor strips.
• Previous OR experience for cesarean sections.
