Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Tele Unit

Night shift, 12 hours, 3 days per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a 32-bed Med/Tele unit catering to an adult and older adult population. The RN will be responsible for the care of trauma patients, including administration of heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med/Tele unit.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including gait belts and geriatric chairs, as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with documented Med/Tele experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Completion of a competency checklist is mandatory.
• Training in skilled nursing or rehabilitation, and prior NICHE training is a plus.
