Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg

7 PM - 7 AM shifts are required, including weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions in a Med Surg setting.
• Administer medications and IVs as prescribed.
• Perform various medical procedures including, but not limited to, paracentesis and thoracentesis.
• Collaborate with doctors and multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Alterra (Allscripts) EMR.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have telemetry and Med Surg experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHS.
• Preferred experience in cardiac recognition and IV starts.
