Night shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each.

Job Description

The Nursing Assistant, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. The role requires embracing the company’s core values, with a strong focus on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections compliant with prescribed diets.
• Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus.
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient menu system.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues to the department.
• Maintain organization and efficiency in the Food & Nutrition office.
• Follow HIPAA and Joint Commission guidelines strictly.
• Participate in safety initiatives to ensure a secure environment.
• Perform clerical assignments such as faxing, answering phones, and filing.
• Assist in trayline or food service as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
• BLS certification required (specific to CIRH unless mandated by state).
