Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting patient and employee safety in all aspects of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and goals, collaborating with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in medical records.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on education for patients and their support systems.
- Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
- Provide direction and supervision of nursing personnel, ensuring appropriate delegation of tasks.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following safety policies and procedures.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education on day of admission.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience required.
- Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

This position features a day shift, following a 3x12.0 schedule.
