Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour rotating shift schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback as per unit need.

Job Description

The orthopedic unit specializes in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and other elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions through telemetry.
• Participate in educational sessions for professional growth.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a level 1 trauma facility.
• Current RN license in New York State.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Orthopedic nursing experience is required.
