CVOR Registered Nurse - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12 Hour (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM). Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis.

Job Description

The CVOR Registered Nurse will provide care and support to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery procedures. This role involves both circulating and scrubbing for CVOR cases, and working in a high-acuity academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties for cardiovascular cases.
• Assist in various surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and complex surgeries.
• Monitor patient vitals and collaborate with surgical teams.
• Participate in patient education and postoperative follow-up care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a plus.
• Ability to float within the hospital as needed.
