Nursing Assistant - Night Shift

Job Description

Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided while adhering to the core values and safety protocols of the organization. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety, following guidelines for safe patient handling, infectious disease control, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing support in accordance with established safety protocols.
• Assist patients with menu selections and ensure compliance with prescribed diets.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues effectively to the department.
• Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office, maintaining organization and efficiency.
• Participate in departmental meetings and in-services as required.
• Assist trayline and food service staff as necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA and Joint Commission guidelines in all functions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• BLS certification required (CIRH only unless required by state).
