Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Days - 3 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly), No guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in a 28-bed department that includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms. The role requires adaptability to a rapid patient turnover.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency room.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff in a dynamic environment.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical history.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Preferred certifications include Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC.
