Registered Nurse - PACU

This position requires a 3x12-hour shift from 09:00 AM to 09:00 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery phase.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and condition post-anesthesia.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient recovery.
• Document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient acute PACU care.
• Current California RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN*, PALS, CPAN*
• Experience with relevant patient care skills, including care of ventilated patients and general surgical techniques.
• Travel experience required.
