Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The position involves both scrub and circulate duties across various surgical specialties including vascular, gynecologic, general surgery, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. The RN will work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the operating room during surgical procedures.
• Scrub and circulate for various types of surgeries.
• Monitor patient vitals and maintain a sterile environment.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure safety and effectiveness of procedures.
• Utilize EPIC and OR Manager (PICIS) for charting and record-keeping.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of operating room experience.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Experience with scrub and circulate duties in a diverse surgical environment.
