IMCU Float Pool RN - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with up to 2 weekends per month and holiday coverage as required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IMCU Float Pool RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using the EPIC EMR system and have recent experience in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable floating to MedSurg as needed based on patient volume.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the IMCU and MedSurg units.
• Monitor patients' conditions and document observations accurately.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including cardiac drips.
• Respond to rapid response and code situations effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including 2 years of travel experience.
• Current North Carolina license or multistate license is required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS are mandatory.
• Proficient in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with a patient-to-RN ratio of 4:1 or 5:1 is preferred.
