Gastrointestinal Lab Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Gastrointestinal Lab Registered Nurse for a dynamic role focused on patient care in a specialized setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GI nursing and experience with various endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the GI Lab for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Perform various endoscopic procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and others.
• Monitor patients pre and post-procedure, ensuring safe recovery from sedation.
• Administer medications, including opioid analgesics, and manage patient sedation during procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Cerner charting for patient documentation and data management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a GI Lab or similar environment is required.
• Current PA RN license or compact license is required at the time of application.
• Certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Schedule

This position is for Day Shift, specifically 1x8 hours from 07:00 to 15:30. The daily patient ratio is expected to be 6.
