Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Night shift: 6:15 PM - 6:45 AM, 3 nights per week. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at an acute care community hospital with a 300-bed capacity. The role of the Respiratory Therapist involves providing critical respiratory care to patients across various age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while using state-of-the-art equipment and following respiratory-driven protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administering respiratory treatments including nebulization, high-flow oxygen, and non-invasive ventilation.
• Assisting with intubations and bronchoscopy procedures.
• Managing mechanical ventilation and in-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients.
• Providing care in the pediatric ER and pediatrics as needed, based on demonstrated competency.
• Performing pulmonary toileting and medication administration as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Current NH state license required; temporary license pending application acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
