CT Technologist - Outpatient Focus
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, working Friday through Sunday.
Job Description
As a CT Technologist, you will participate in various assigned tasks related to imaging technology, performing diagnostic quality procedures in a safe manner following the guidelines set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Computerized Tomography.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on outpatient services.
- Utilize GE and Toshiba/Canon imaging machines to achieve radiologic objectives.
- Administer and prepare contrast media as necessary for procedures.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are maintained.
- Document procedures accurately in the Epic charting system.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaborations for comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate from an imaging technology program approved by licensing bodies.
- Must be licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in radiography.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
- License in CT from the OBMI or registered in CT by the ARRT is essential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of outpatient imaging experience.
- Experience with Epic charting system is a strict requirement.
- Skills in starting peripheral IVs and performing a variety of imaging procedures.
