Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days: Tuesday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in providing care in the operating room. As a vital member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other healthcare personnel to ensure optimal patient care during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely availability of supplies and equipment in the operating room.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding surgical procedures.
• Update and maintain physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases.
• Supervise personnel providing patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Experience in a combination of specialties including Orthopedics, Plastics, and OB/GYN.
