Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates, and delegates activities in order to foster patient and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.

Schedule

This position follows a 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM schedule. Options include 4/12's with overtime after 48 hours or 3/12's with overtime after 40 hours.

Required Experience and Certifications

• 3+ years of ER experience - Required
• TNCC or ENPC - Required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Active RN license in Michigan

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
