Cath Lab Technologist

Schedule

Day Shift: 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:30). Call required: 8 days per month.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist will work in an invasive cardiac catheterization lab, performing various procedures including coronary angiograms, PCI’s, and managing both permanent and temporary pacemakers. The role emphasizes a need for extensive experience in Electrophysiology (EP) and heart catheterization, focusing on patient care and technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiac procedures such as left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and electrophysiological assessments.
• Assist with pacemaker insertions and cardiac mapping.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Be prepared to float to related units as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing support during nights and weekends as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab procedures, with a strong emphasis on EP experience preferred.
• ARRT certification required; RCIS certification not accepted.
• California State License and Fluoroscopy Permit required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
