Registered Nurse (RN) - 3x12 Hour Shifts

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, contributing positively to the nursing team and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, using the data collected to create individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care through the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, applying effective problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment through team-building activities and calm direction.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and training requirements.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested following the orientation period.
• Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
• ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY)
• Minimum of Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience

This position requires a 3x12 hour shift schedule.
