This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM, 4-10 hour shifts, Weekends as needed, Holidays as needed, No On Call.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level, performing essential job functions independently within an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
• Restrict radiation beam through cone and collimating devices to protect unaffected areas.
• Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
• Identify patient films with proper labeling and marking.
• Develop exposed x-ray films using appropriate processing methods.
• Prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media as directed by a physician.
• Manage administrative duties related to patient scheduling, instructions, and record maintenance.
• Assist patients with mobility and positioning during x-ray procedures.
• Modify care to meet the diverse needs of the patient population served.
• Maintain a clean and orderly x-ray room environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
• Must possess a valid New Jersey State License.
• Completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements.
