Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

Location

This position is located in a healthcare facility with a strong emphasis on neuro and body procedures.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10-Hour shift, working Monday through Friday, with staggered start times between 07:00 and 08:30.

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care through various IR procedures, including stents, angioplasties, and biopsies. This role requires advanced skills in both neuro and body imaging, utilizing Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of interventional radiology procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring a clear understanding of the process.
• Utilize PACS and manage imaging studies effectively.
• Assist in maintaining the sterile field during procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with facility standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of interventional radiology experience is required.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology is mandatory.
• BLS certification is required; ARRT Advanced certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson systems is an advantage.
• Experience in working within both outpatient and inpatient hospital settings is preferred.
