Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position under general supervision, responsible for performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients, as well as general diagnostic radiology examinations as needed. The CT Technologist plays a critical role in patient care by ensuring high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
• Review clinical data and patient history to perform appropriate examinations.
• Prepare the procedure room and manage stock of linens and supplies.
• Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
• Manually control equipment for optimal diagnostic information acquisition.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions.
• Assist the Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic procedures.
• Implement radiation protection principles during imaging procedures.
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
• Complete all necessary documentation in medical records and within the radiology information system.

Schedule

Afternoon shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with weekend availability required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold an advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or be registry-eligible.
