Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, no call.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN acts as a patient advocate and is responsible for meeting surgical standards of nursing practice. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough knowledge of sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and implement age-specific care and interaction.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team in the assessment of the patient/family.
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on all patients and conduct reassessments as per policy.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
• Develop and implement total nursing care for patients by assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
