Neuro Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; 36 hours scheduled with 24 hours guaranteed. The facility reserves the right to cancel one shift.

Job Description

The Neuro PCU Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to patients in a progressive care unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patients with neurological conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans. This role may require weekend and holiday shifts, as well as floating per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Perform other duties as needed in accordance with department guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of PCU experience within the last 12 months.
• Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from approved vendors.
• Driver's license required to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
