Registered Nurse - Long-Term Care

Assignment Duration
This is a contract position with an assignment duration extending beyond the typical duration, reflecting a commitment to quality care and support in a long-term setting.
Schedule
12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required. Travelers must be available to work 2 out of the 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in providing high-quality nursing care to elderly patients, including those with dementia. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to float between units as necessary to meet patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a long-term care environment.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety and healthcare regulations.
- Be prepared to care for patients with dementia and related conditions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in long-term care.
- Active RN license for the state of Vermont.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
- Ability to float to different units as needed.
- Completely documented work history, including bed count, EMR, and facility type.
