This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with every 3rd Saturday and Sunday obligation.

Job Description

Under the direction of a qualified physician, the MRI Technologist performs a variety of technical MRI procedures that assist in the diagnosis of disease in humans. The role requires adherence to departmental standards with a focus on accuracy and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform MRI procedures ensuring a minimum accuracy rate of 99%.
• Schedule appropriate times for patient exams and review requisitions regularly.
• Prepare and administer opaque contrast media with a 100% accuracy rate.
• Process images within 30 minutes of examination completion.
• Translate physician orders into appropriate radiographic procedures with a minimum accuracy rate of 99%.
• Maintain patient logs and equipment downtime records.
• Collaborate with radiologists to develop optimal imaging protocols.
• Assume charge technologist responsibilities and prepare activity reports.
• Ensure all safety and hygienic procedures are followed to maintain a clean working environment.
• Ensure timely delivery of customer service to enhance patient satisfaction scores.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify the supervisor of supply needs with 95% accuracy.
• Safely transport patients using appropriate devices.
• Identify and troubleshoot any machine malfunctions, reporting issues promptly.
• Assist with duties of absent employees and cross-train in applicable areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of prior experience as a licensed MRI Technologist required.
• NJ State MRI License required.
• AART (MRI) certification required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
