Job Description

This position involves caring for patients before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures. The role includes providing care for structural heart patients (including Watchman), lead extractions, ablations, vascular and EP pacemaker/device patients, with responsibilities including pre-procedure assessments, pre-medications, documentation of the procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the outlined procedures, including circulating and assisting during cases.
• Scrub in cases and manage procedural supplies effectively.
• Record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
• Assist Radiologic Technologists in circulating cases and managing procedural supplies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2+ years of invasive imaging experience - Required
• Electrophysiology experience - Preferred
• Active Michigan nursing license (LARA and/or Nursys) - Required
• Active BLS certification (AHA) - Required
• Active ACLS certification (AHA) - Required
• Skills checklist pertinent to the specialty, current to within the last year - Required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years - Required
