Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. This role embraces the fundamentals of the organization, including a commitment to safety for both patients and employees. The RN works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to assure high-quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals based on individual patient assessments.
• Provide timely updates during team conferences.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct care as per the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate any changes in patient status effectively.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies.
• Contribute positively to teamwork and unit functionality.
• Assume charge responsibility after the orientation period as needed.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for specific facilities).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
