Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Radiologic Technologist with a focus on neurosurgery and neuroscience. The ideal candidate will possess experience in interventional radiology and be capable of producing high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities include assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, demonstrating flexibility, and maintaining high levels of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Produces consistent, high-quality radiologic images through appropriate selection of exposure factors and patient positioning.
• Collaborates effectively with department members to swiftly address issues.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists the Radiologist during procedures.
• Competently operates all x-ray equipment and systems (CR and DR).
• Monitors equipment malfunctions and reports them to management.
• Maintains medication security, ensuring access is limited to authorized personnel.
• Engages in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates confidentiality in all patient interactions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in radiology, preferably in interventional radiology.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• Current New York State Technician License (required).
• Certification by AART (required).
• Experience or familiarity with vascular interventional radiology (VIR) is a plus.
