Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide Cardiopulmonary Services. This role involves following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintaining airways and managing ventilators.
• Insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
• Conducting pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
• Processing blood gases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent RT experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience working with pediatrics and OB patients.
• Wyoming RT license required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP & PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
